Our Staff.
All our staff at Mylor Pre-school have Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) check before commencing employment. Staff are committed to regular training and each member of staff has a Paediatric and Emergency first aid qualification. All members of staff have Level 3 Safeguarding qualifications.

Emily started at Mylor Preschool in 2018 as volunteer and went on to qualify as level 3 before taking on the Deputy role in 2022. Emily has loved watching the children of Mylor preschool thrive and feels honoured to be a small part of their childhood. In her spare time, Emily enjoys running and hiking (when she has the time), along side cheering on her own two teenage sons from the side lines of many a sporting event!

Bryony has 12 years experience as an Early Years teacher in a local Primary School and following a break to raise her family returned to early years as an assistant at Mylor Preschool. Bryony is passionate about providing exciting, engaging and nurturing experiences for all children in her care. In her spare time she enjoys walking and beaches with her husband Dan, their 3 children and 2 dogs! She is also keen on CrossFit and gig rowing.

SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Jo Burton is Mylor Preschool’s SENDCo, although all members of staff work closely together in order to support children in our setting with special educational needs.
Jo attends regular SENCo training and, as part of our Pre-School policies, we refer to the DfES Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (2001). We ensure our provision is inclusive to all children with special educational needs.
We work together to support parents and children with special educational needs (SEN). As well as identifying specific needs of children with special educational needs, we meet those needs through a range of SEN strategies.
Mylor Pre-school strongly believes in working together with parents and carers and outside agencies to better meet the needs of individual needs. We monitor and review our policies, practices and provisions on a regular basis and make necessary adjustments when needed.
